Spring brings a renewed sense of lightness—especially in the kitchen. The shift in seasons calls for simple recipes, vibrant market produce, and everyday tools that make cooking feel like a ritual instead of a chore.

Over time, I’ve learned that a well-loved kitchen isn’t defined by how many gadgets you have, but by the thoughtful pieces you reach for again and again. The ones that add beauty, function, and a little joy to the rhythm of everyday life.

So, I put together a guide to the kitchen essentials that have earned a permanent place on my shelves—they help me bring great meals to life in the kitchen, savor the moment, and make even the simplest recipes feel special.

Everything Chopping Board – Large

This is the piece that does it all. Whether I’m serving a round of cocktails with snacks or prepping ingredients for a salad, the Everything Board is my constant kitchen companion (and it displays beautifully on the counter!)

KitchenAid Artisan 10-Speed Stand Mixer – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

There’s something so nostalgic about pulling out my stand mixer—like the promise of a cozy Sunday morning or an impromptu baking session with the kids. I love how this one blends seamlessly into my kitchen with its soft, matte finish. It’s reliable, timeless, and always ready for whatever we’re whipping up next.

Sabre Ivory Flatware

I’ve used Sabre flatware for years—it’s my go-to for a table that feels casual but special. The ivory is timeless, and the quality makes them feel heirloom-worthy. I use these for weeknight meals and elevated gatherings.

Luna Recycled Carafe and Glass Set

I use this handblown glass carafe throughout the day to refill water while I’m cooking, set out on the table during meals filled with water, or serve something sparkling when friends stop by. It’s become one of those pieces I didn’t know I needed until I had it: practical, sculptural, and proof that the simplest tools can bring the most joy to your kitchen.

Essential Wood Salad Servers

These are the ultimate “grab them every night” tools. I use them to toss big leafy salads, serve roasted veggies, or scoop up pasta for the table. Crafted from wild olive wood, they’re both lightweight and sturdy—and like all the best tools, they only get better with age.

Viski Citrus Juicer

This little citrus juicer is proof that the smallest tools can bring the most delight. I use it to squeeze fresh lemon into vinaigrettes or add a splash of lime to sparkling water. It’s compact, effortless, and has the kind of vintage-inspired charm that makes even the most mundane kitchen tasks feel a little more elevated.

Handcrafted Wood Salad Bowl

This bowl is always in the center of our table, filled with whatever salad is accompanying dinner. These are true heirloom pieces—each one is carved by hand, and they’re beautiful displayed on my open shelves.

Cocina Salt & Spice Tray

I keep my flaky sea salt, kosher salt, and favorite spice blends in these easy-to-grab vessels (currently loving dukkah for everything). Having this duo within arm’s reach makes seasoning simple—and the teak wood tray brings pulls them all together next to the stove.

Sharing Bowl

I love this piece for serving any type of veggie or grain side—a side of hummus with veggies when a friend stops by, or a bowl of citrus on the counter. The organic shape and creamy white glaze make it one of those simple-yet-striking pieces that you’ll use a hundred different ways

The Beast Mini Blender

This mini blender has earned permanent real estate on my counter. It’s what I reach for every morning to whip up my smoothie, and its sleek design means I never feel the need to tuck it away. I love how powerful it is for such a small size, and that clean-up is truly a breeze.

Microplane ® Master Series Coarse Paddle Grater

This is one of those tools I reach for daily, whether I’m grating Parm over a bowl of pasta or adding citrus zest to brighten up a simple salad. The handcrafted wood handle feels elevated and timeless, and it brings just the right touch of rustic beauty to my kitchen rituals.

Essential Waffle Kitchen Towels (Set of 2)

These are the kind of everyday essentials that quietly elevate your kitchen routine. I use them for everything—drying produce, wrapping fresh-baked bread, or simply draping over the sink for a lived-in, beautiful touch. The texture feels luxe, the design is understated, and they make even the most functional moments feel thoughtful.

Daybreak Candle

Because no kitchen is complete without a signature scent. I light this every morning as I make my coffee—its notes of palo santo, vetiver, and sandalwood instantly set a calming tone for the day. Hand-poured in Los Angeles, it’s become part of my daily rhythm and an easy way to invite a sense of ceremony into everyday moments.

A Kitchen That Inspires

The tools we choose can do more than help us cook—they can remind us to slow down, to savor, and to gather with intention. This spring, I’m focusing on pieces that are simple, beautiful, and made to last. Whether I’m cooking solo on a Tuesday or hosting a Sunday brunch, these are the essentials that help me feel grounded and inspired in my kitchen.

According to experts, we spend about a third of our life sleeping. A lot of thought should go into purchasing a bed, but what about the sofa? It’s where we lounge during our waking hours, and it’s for afternoon naps or Saturday movie nights. Not to mention this large piece of furniture is a focal point of your living room. It has to be comfortable, yet stylish. And as someone who has lived in apartments all of her adult life—it needs to fit in your space. So what are the best couches for small spaces? I’ve done a deep dive, so you don’t have to.

Mediterranean Design

If salty air, crystal blue waters, and olive trees make you swoon, then pick up Camille’s choice of The Mediterranean Home. Mediterranean interior design is light and airy, inspired by the coastal lifestyle of seaside towns. This coffee table book tours homes set in locales like Greece, Portugal, and Italy, where indoor-outdoor living is a way of life. So if you’re looking to follow suit, this book could be perfect. But keep in mind that The Mediterranean Home is published in Europe, so the title on the spine will appear upside-down when laid flat on a surface.

Surf Shacks

The surfer lifestyle is famous for its laid-back feel and connection to nature, which appeals to anyone who lives near or far from the shore. Filled with eclectic homes nestled in beach towns, cabins in Hawaii, and even New York City apartments, Surf Shacks is all about how surfers live with the waves in mind. And even if you’ve never surfed, the aesthetic can still be for you. After all, who doesn’t love the look of an endless vacation? Stack these titles beneath shells, or keep them next to a worn-in leather chair—both are casually cool.

Modern Desert

Oasis: Modern Desert Homes Around The World is an ideal option for those drawn to the landscapes of New Mexico, Chile, Texas, and Peru. Camille’s home is full of modern desert design, as is Casa Zuma, so no wonder she suggests this book! The pages take a peek at sun-drenched homes with beautiful architecture in arid locations all over the world. This design style is all about honoring this aesthetic with warm whites, rich hues, and plenty of natural light.

Countryside Style

An English countryside home is utterly charming. Their famously lived-in details make small to large estates feel cozy. Camille likes Rural Retreats, a gorgeous look into countryside living. Unfortunately, it’s out of print, but there are other options that show the craftsmanship that country homes have in spades: overstuffed armchairs, walls full of books, and lots of vintage accents. If you’re craving cozy spaces, this is for you.

California Casual

Jake Arnold is an LA-based interior designer who blends California styling with classic European vibes. His coffee table book, Redefining Comfort, explores nine different projects that exemplify his casual-cool approach, including insights like mood boards, sketches, and swatches. Environment-Based Design

The best interiors often reflect their immediate surroundings. A lakeside cabin, a city loft, or a farmhouse has aesthetic opportunities baked in! Camille picks Sense of Place: Design Inspired By Where We Live for style that sticks close to home. Authors Caitlin Flemming and Julie Goebel showcase 20 examples and discuss how each one pulls from its distinct environment. This book will help take your own neighborhood into account during the design process.

Take the fun outside.

For some, the day after Thanksgiving means shopping Black Friday sales. While I love taking part in a good deal—who doesn’t?—for me, the last Friday in November is always the start of the Christmas season. You can catch me putting out my decor early in the AM (following a slice of pecan pie for breakfast, of course). I’m busy swapping out my home’s autumnal color palette for something a bit more holiday-appropriate. We’re talking all the silvers, reds, golds, and greens.

20 Outdoor Christmas Decorations Ideas to Make Your Home Merry & Bright

In the frenzy of making my space a winter wonderland, I sometimes get so caught up in decking the indoor halls that I forget about the all-important outdoor decor. Well, not this year. I’ve made 2024 all about spreading joy and bringing holiday cheer to everyone—and I’m putting as much time into my outdoor set-up as I am indoors. With that, I’ve come up with the best outdoor Christmas decorations ideas so you can join the festivities and fun.

Embrace your holiday aesthetic and decorate in whatever way feels most true for you. Classic, minimalist, and with a nod to tradition, the outdoor Christmas decoration ideas below fit best in nearly any holiday home. Camille Styles artificial Christmas trees

Growing up in New Hampshire, the holiday season was synonymous with family outings to the local Christmas tree farm. We would pack our thermos of peppermint hot cocoa and spend the day cutting down our perfect tree. To me, this was the only way to celebrate the season, and artificial trees felt like an inferior alternative. Nothing could replicate the smell and charm of a real fir. Fast-forward to my late 20s, after living in cities across the country, and my perspective has shifted entirely. I’ve come to adore, even obsess over, my flocked artificial tree. It’s clear now that the best artificial Christmas trees offer a level of beauty and convenience that can rival any real tree, blending the charm of a tradition with the ease of modern living.

The Best Artificial Christmas Trees on the Internet

I’ve come to appreciate that the perfect tree, whether real or faux, reflects our personal preferences and memories—each one a canvas for how we celebrate. Whether you’re a traditionalist who swears by a live tree or someone seeking the ease and elegance of an artificial option, the choices are endless. As someone who’s navigated this transformation myself, I can offer a bit of guidance on what to look for. Here are my top 10 favorite Christmas trees available this season, each one sure to elevate your home’s festive spirit.

Best Overall: 9 ft. Downswept Douglas Fir Tree with Dual Color LED Lights

Choosing the perfect artificial Christmas tree is no small feat. That’s why we love this Douglas fir. Its realistic design features lush, lifelike branches with just the right density for hanging ornaments. The dual-color LED lights let you transition effortlessly between classic white and festive multicolor displays, offering versatility for every mood and celebration. Easy to assemble yet sturdy enough to last for seasons to come, this tree combines beauty, convenience, and enduring quality.

Best Realistic Tree: Faux Twinkling Pre-Lit Norway Spruce

The magic of a fresh-cut tree lies in its ability to bring the outdoors in, filling a space with nature’s warmth and charm. For those who prefer the convenience of artificial trees but still want that authentic woodland feel, this pre-lit Norway Spruce is a stunning choice. Thoughtfully designed, it captures the essence of a freshly gathered tree. Whether your holiday style leans minimal or ornate, this tree offers a strikingly realistic backdrop that evokes the wonder of winter’s natural beauty.

Best Affordable Tree: The Holiday Aisle North Valley Spruce Tree with Clear Lights

Camille Styles coffee mug

Whether you’re setting the table for morning brunch or looking for a WFH sidekick, a well-loved mug is a must. I love a mug with sentimental value, but I’ve often found that the best ceramic coffee mugs—the ones you’ll hand wash daily just to keep them in rotation—have one of two things in common: they look (and feel) great in your hands and they’re excellent at regulating temperature.

But there are a few more details that can elevate a mug from good to favorite. Durability is crucial (being dishwasher safe is a non-negotiable in our book) as is a sense of pride (supporting a sweet story or noteworthy pottery studio can make all the difference in your morning routine).

The Best Ceramic Coffee Mugs

Ahead, we’ve rounded up a variety of unique coffee cups that check nearly every box, from gorgeous hand-thrown ceramics to double-walled glass mugs and battery-powered beauties. Whether you’re an aesthete, an iced coffee devotee, or identify as both, there’s a go-to glass for everyone.

Casa Zuma

The best ceramic coffee mugs from Casa Zuma are more than just vessels for your morning brew—they’re an invitation to slow down and savor the quiet moments that shape our days. Handcrafted with a natural, earthy elegance, each mug feels like a small reminder to embrace the beauty in simplicity. The weight of the mugs, the wabi-sabi appeal, and the way each piece nestles in your hands make every sip feel intentional. These mugs aren’t just about holding coffee—they’re about creating space for mindfulness, turning a daily ritual into something deeply personal.

Food52

Food52’s ceramic mugs are the perfect blend of form and function, adding a touch of warmth and refinement to your everyday routine. Every style is sourced from brands intent on thoughtful craftsmanship and modern design. There’s a comforting heft to each mug, the smooth glaze inviting you to wrap your hands around it and linger a little longer. These mugs transform even the simplest moments into something special, reminding us that joy can be found in the small, quiet pleasures of daily life.

Earth + Element

Earth + Element’s ceramic mugs are crafted with impressive artistry. Their raw, organic texture and hand-thrown shapes make each mug feel unique. These mugs bring a sense of grounding to your daily ritual. Their earthy tones and minimalist design offer a gentle reminder to slow down and be present. These are vessels for mindful moments, inviting you to appreciate the craftsmanship and care poured into every detail.

West Elm

West Elm’s ceramic mugs blend modern design with everyday elegance, transforming your coffee routine into a stylish ritual. The brand’s smooth, minimalist aesthetic adds a refined touch to each sip. With every mug crafted to balance form and function, they bring a sense of understated luxury to your morning or evening routine.

Urban Outfitters

If showing off your personal style is top of mind in your coffee ritual, Urban Outfitters is your buy. With bold colors and eclectic designs, each mug feels like a unique find, adding creativity and warmth to your everyday moments. These mugs are more than just functional—they’re statement pieces that invite you to embrace your individuality. They turn your coffee break into a fun, expressive experience, reminding you that life’s little pleasures deserve a touch of personality.

Anthropologie

Anthropologie’s signature whimsy and charm take center stage in the brand’s ceramic mugs. Each mug, with its delicate patterns, intricate details, and soft colors, brings a sense of joy to your coffee or tea. These mugs feel personal, like a small piece of art that reflects your unique style. With Anthropologie’s signature blend of elegance and playfulness, every sip feels like a celebration of the little things that brighten your day.

The Citizenry

The Citizenry’s commitment to craftsmanship and thoughtful design is evident in the brand’s curated collection of mugs. Handcrafted by artisans, these mugs combine timeless elegance with an earthy, minimalist aesthetic that brings a sense of grounded luxury to your daily routine. Their subtle textures and muted tones create a serene, intentional experience. With every mug, you’re not just enjoying a beverage—you’re connecting to the artistry and care poured into each piece.

Papier Best Advent Calendars

Hot take: while I love everything about the holidays, nothing beats a good advent calendar. I grew up with a mom who would sneak away in the intervening days between Thanksgiving and the beginning of December to purchase all the candy my sisters and I loved. One by one, she’d fill the felt-formed days of our family advent calendar with treats for the three of us. And for a child—ahem, even a young adult home from college for the holidays—nothing made me happier than the simple, everyday joy of opening up a new treat every day.

Now, as a full-blown adult on the cusp of 30, I have to say: advent calendars still slap. While I love reveling in the small delights myself, there’s nothing more gratifying than packaging up these little joys for your family and friends. With that in mind, I’m on the hunt for the best advent calendars in 2024—and I’m taking you along for the ride.

Why all the fuss over advent calendars?

With Instagram-worthy design and much-loved products, the advent calendar’s rise in popularity is two-fold. First, besides the fact that opening a present every day is just incredibly fun, advent calendars are a practical way to try a new product before committing. With an assortment of favorites in adorable mini form—plus the occasional full-size treat—to open daily, the countdown to holiday is among the best of rituals.

Second, you won’t find a more affordable way to amass an assortment of products. With favorites like Olive & June, Papier, Bloomingdale’s, and more offering a literal sample platter of products sold below retail value, you’re getting the best deal on the products you’ve always wanted to try.

When do 2024 advent calendars go on sale?

The short answer? NOW. Friends, it’s only the beginning of October, but there are already advent calendar launch notifications in my inbox. However, many will become available around the middle of the month. Because brands produce these limited-edition products in smaller stocks and at such great prices, you can expect them to sell out quickly.

Best Nail Polish Advent Calendar: Olive & June 25 Days Of Mani Magic Advent Calendar

The annual Olive & June advent calendar is here and it’s a good one. If you’ve yet to venture into the lovely world of at-home manis, allow me to gently suggest, you’re missing out. Olive & June not only provides the tools to do it yourself, but they also provide the knowledge. I have learned heaps about nails—and my own ability to do them—from their helpful tutorials and the free mani masterclass. The O&J advent calendar sells out every year for good reason, but here’s my favorite: full-size polishes will almost always expire before you have a chance to use them all. Best Candle Advent Calendar: Voluspa 12-Day Advent Calendar

I’m low-key obsessed with Voluspa’s hand-poured candles. The California-based brand released the most delicious advent calendar for the scent-obsessed. I’m already imagining scent-hacking (I’m making it a thing) my life by pairing each month of the year with a corresponding candle.

Best Edible Advent Calendar: Gourmet Chocolate Advent Calendar Gift

Hot chocolate has always been a must during the holiday season, and this year, I’ve found a delightful twist with the Compartés chocolate advent calendar. Each day in December leading up to Christmas reveals a beautifully crafted chocolate that feels both inventive and wonderfully comforting. They’re just the right size for a little post-dinner treat.

Best Puzzle Advent Calendar: The New Yorker Puzzle Advent Calendar

Not sure about you, but puzzles are a mainstay at my house during the holiday season. I am truly OBSESSED with this idea of doing a puzzle day for two reasons. One, instant gratification every night. And two, a 100-piece puzzle does not require a semi-permanent card table topped with an in-progress puzzle. Meanwhile, I’m praying my kids will keep their lovely but sticky hands away.

Price: $200 | Availability: Now

What’s inside: 24 holiday-themed 100-piece puzzles

On Our Watchlist

Finally, watch this space. Last year some of our favorites released truly stunning beauty advent calendars, but as of this publication, we’ve yet to hear a peep. Our eyes are on Soko Glam, Revolve, Anthropologie, and, of course, Target. (Your move, Bullseye.)

Even if your space is limited, you still may wish to work a dining room table into your apartment layout. (Eating at the coffee table is fine, of course, but it isn’t for everyone!) Many apartments and smaller homes aren’t spacious enough to accommodate a dining room table that seats more than four, but the good news is that even if you’re majorly lacking in square footage, you don’t have to sacrifice on style. We’ve rounded up 15 of the best small dining room tables that seat two to four people, with picks for every budget and aesthetic. Shop our top favorite finds below.

How to Find the Best Dining Table for Small Spaces

When shopping for a dining table whether in person or online, you want to come prepared with measurements. Having a sense of the maximum (and minimum) size of table your space can accommodate will help you efficiently narrow down options. There’s no point in swooning over a table that will overwhelm your home and distract from the lovely setup you’ve already created.

Reflect on Your Dining Habits and Lifestyle

Consider your lifestyle when weighing whether or not to buy a two-seater versus a four-person table. Just because you can fit a larger table in your space doesn’t mean it’s the most practical choice. You’ll want to consider factors including:

  • Whether you live alone as opposed to with a partner, family members, or roommates
  • Whether you like to entertain often or generally dine at home solo (or just with one other person)
  • If you have any other goals for the available space on hand (maybe you envision it serving as a hybrid dining table and bar area, in which case, you’ll need to accommodate multiple pieces of furniture).

Establishing a clear sense of how you intend to use your dining space will put you in the right direction as you begin to shop.

Choose Your Shape

Next begs the question of square or rectangular tables versus round. This is truly a personal preference, but you will want to evaluate the other furniture pieces in your space when making a decision. For example, maybe you’re planning to carve out a dining nook within your living room. If you have lots of sharp, angular pieces in that space already, consider selecting a round dining table to break things up visually. This is a particularly smart approach in a small space—you don’t want things to look too clunky.

Make sure that everything within your room looks cohesive stylistically, too. If you have lots of curved furniture in your surrounding space, you may find that most square- or rectangle-shaped tables appear too traditional in style.

The essence of autumn.

The post 10 Fall Candles To Turn Your Home Into a Cozy Haven appeared first on Camille Styles.

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that fall is the best time of year. It’s not just opinion—the objective fact of it all is that autumn packs the activities and seasonal traditions we spend all year looking forward to embracing. Plowing through our reading lists, cozying up with our fall beverage of choice (I’m team chaider), and making all the pumpkin treats. Of course, it’s also the time when we swap out our summer scents for something a little moodier, a little dark academia-coded, and yes—a bit spicy and sweet. The best fall candles of 2024? Boxes, checked.

The Best Fall Candles to Scent the Season

There’s something undeniably enchanting about fall. As the leaves turn and the air takes on that unmistakable crispness, it’s a reminder to embrace cozy nights in. Autumn is an invitation to slip on our sweaters and gather around the table with loved ones, enjoying the warmth of a hearty meal. But beyond the food, festivities, and fall rituals, candles set the scene for this magical time of year.

The best fall candles fill our homes with the comforting scents of the season. Everything from spiced apples to rich woods to warm vanilla fills our homes with these reminders of sensory delights. What’s more, candles go beyond just a flicker of light. They’re the finishing touch that turns your home into a haven. Whether you’re welcoming guests or savoring a moment of solitude, the right candle can instantly transform the atmosphere. Read on to discover the best fall candles to elevate your space.

Best Overall: Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia Tinted Glass Harvest Chestnut Scalloped Jar Candle

You’ve found it: pure autumnal vibes wrapped up in a jar. With its rich, nutty fragrance and warm, amber glow, this candle feels like a cozy night in by the fire—minus the smoke. The vessel itself is so chic, with a timeless scalloped edge that makes it as much a statement piece as it is a seasonal essential. I’m planning to burn this anytime I want to indulge in a quiet evening. (That is, when I’m re-watching Emily in Paris Season 4 for the umpteenth time. I can’t be stopped.)

Best Pumpkin: Voluspa Spiced Pumpkin Latte

You know her, you love her, you buy her every September without fail. And if you don’t? Let me introduce you to the best pumpkin candle around. While I love picking up the Trader Joe’s pumpkin tin candle during my weekly stock-up, this is the more elevated version. (And yes, while still accessible, the price difference matches the bump-up in quality.) With notes of creamy pumpkin, whipped coconut, and cinnamon spice, it’s like savoring a sip of your first PSL of the season. Encased in Voluspa’s signature embossed glass jar, this candle doesn’t just smell like autumn—it looks the part, too.

Best Reusable Vessel: OWIU Goods Forest Candle

Everything OWIU Goods produces is a gift to behold. We interviewed founder Amanda Gunawan last year in her LA home, and it’s obvious that her intentional lifestyle extends to everything—ceramics, matcha, and candles—she creates. This candle brings the tranquility of the woods straight to your home. With earthy notes of cedar, sandalwood, and a hint of moss, it’s basically the next best thing to a forest bath. (Actually, better.) Minimalist in design but rich in scent, this candle is housed in a sleek ceramic vessel that adds a modern touch of character to any space.

Best Vanilla: Haven Well Within Gather Candle

Designed to evoke warmth and togetherness, this candle emanates cozy notes of vanilla, sandalwood, and clove. Perfect for minimalist candle lovers, this timeless neutral jar will be right at home in any space—transforming a room into an inviting sanctuary. I love burning it during intimate dinners and afternoon writing sessions when I want to feel focused and centered. Light it up, and let the rich, layered scent bring a sense of calm and connection to your favorite fall moments.

Best for Minimalists: Jenni Kayne Cedar Glass Candle

Come for the sweaters, stay for the candles. Like all of the brand’s apparel and home goods, this candle is the epitome of understated elegance. Infused with the grounding scent of cedar and soft notes of pine, it brings the crisp, woodsy air of autumn right into your home. And while I’ve been known to spin around other candles to keep the label concealed, I love the contemporary design it displays. (Also yes, I want you to know I’m an insider and thought to pick up the best fall candles from Jenni Kayne.) For an effortlessly cool, seasonal warmth, look no further.

Best Unexpected Scent: Salt & Stone Saffron & Cedar Candle

Cedar is expected—saffron is not. This candle is the perfect blend of exactly what you think fall should smell like but with a hard-to-put-your-finger-on twist. This luxurious blend of spice and wood exudes an exotic scent grounded by an earthy cedar. It’s sophisticated and sleek, adding a modern touch to your decor while filling the room with a rich, lingering aroma. Get ready to transform your home into an autumnal retreat.

Best Calming: Blueme Spiritual Palo Santo & Vetiver

This candle feels like a ritual in itself—instantly calming and uplifting. Cleansing, woody notes of palo santo are balanced by vetiver’s earthy warmth. Designed to clear the air and soothe the soul, it’s exactly what you want to burn during any cozy fall pursuit. Whether you’re meditating, journaling, or simply relaxing, this candle brings a sense of clarity and peace to any moment, making it a must for your seasonal self-care routine.

Best for Book Lovers: Aerangis No. 40 Livraria Antiga

As I alluded to above, reading (binge-reading, in particular) is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. For that reason, I surround myself with anything bibliophilic. Because this candle smells like stepping into the coziest library, you can bet I’m stocking up. It’s reminiscent of the best bookstores, where the air is filled with the scent of leather-bound books, polished wood, and maybe a touch of mystery. With deep, smoky notes of aged paper, cedarwood, and a hint of spice, this candle transports you to a time and place where stories linger in the air.

Best Affordable: Fablerune Pumpkin Soy Candle

It’s no secret—candles aren’t exactly cheap. That’s why, when you can find one that strikes the perfect balance between affordable and elevated, you should buy 10. This candle—a delightful ode to our favorite fall flavor—is an excellent alternative to the Voluspa pumpkin. Its creamy pumpkin scent is complemented by hints of vanilla and nutmeg, nodding to the sensory experience of a homemade pumpkin pie emerging from the oven. If you like your pumpkin candles a little earthier as opposed to sweet, this is your pick.

Best Masculine Scent: Cereria Molla Velvet Wood Candle

For those of us who love a scent that leans a little more masculine, this rich, opulent aroma exudes understated sophistication. With its deep notes of velvety sandalwood, warm amber, and a hint of sweet vanilla, this candle is the perfect blend of refined comfort. Light it up and lean into the ultimate in sensory luxury. I love burning it on a crisp fall evening whenever the occasion calls for a touch of elegance.

Camille Styles living room coffee table.

I recently downsized from an open, airy, 1100+ square foot loft to a tiny one-bedroom in Chicago (albeit with gorgeous views). As a result, I’ve had to switch out plenty of my furniture. The dining room table that once sat eight comfortably has been replaced with a kitchen island complete with two high-top chairs. My cushy sectional is now a three-seater couch—in a bouclé fabric that I’m hoping against hope my cats don’t destroy. And though I’ve outfitted the majority of my apartment, I’m on the hunt for the best coffee tables for small spaces. Because my mindset is fixed on maximizing.

30 Best Coffee Tables for Small Spaces

Coffee tables are surprisingly utilitarian. As a beverage-obsessive, I need somewhere to keep my glass, mug, cup, etc. within reach. And because there’s no better weekend activity than a book binge spent on the couch, I need a coffee table to house my stack of reads. I also won’t hold this etiquette faux pas against you: I too happily kick my feet up on the coffee table whenever given the chance.

The point is, alongside a bed and mattress, I’d consider a coffee table a home essential. (Because no matter how small, it’s bound to serve as your dining table from time to time.) All living rooms deserve a great coffee table, no matter how small. So for the more diminutive living areas, we’ve gathered 30 great options to suit all styles and spaces, from nesting tables to artful accents with sneaky storage.

Circular Coffee Tables

When selecting coffee tables for small spaces, a circular shape is often my go-to. The rounded build maintains its dual functional-decorative status and feels elevated while still packing its impact up top. The curved beauties below make the most of their compact yet statement-making structure. They’re also proof that 2023’s curved furniture trend isn’t going anywhere.

Narrow coffee table in minimalist space.

Narrow Coffee Tables

When width is a worry in your small space, keep it on the straight and narrow. Rectangular coffee tables—with their sleek silhouettes and occasionally a second shelf—add plenty of style without dominating the space. They’re streamlined and minimalist while still fulfilling their duty (making my kicked-up feet feel right home). Any of the options below will help complete the living area of your dreams.

Built-In Storage Coffee Tables

When it comes to small spaces, nothing is more valuable than sneaky storage. The following pieces do it brilliantly—blending style and function with ease. They let you display what you want and hide what you want thanks to sliding slats, pop-up drawers, and more brilliant design tricks.

Statement Coffee Tables

A coffee table may not seem like a place to make a bold statement, but allow these unique picks to make their case. Some are cheeky, colorful, and double as killer conversation starters. Whatever the impact, they’re sure to add a little whimsy to any aesthetic.

Neutral, minimalist living room with nesting coffee tables.

Nesting Coffee Tables

As versatile as they are striking, these coffee table duos can shrink or expand depending on your needs. They look stunning paired together, but the beauty of nesting coffee tables is that they can also be styled apart. If your goal is to create a dynamic, versatile scene, nesting coffee tables are the route to take.
